Gerry Joe Weise, guitarist and vocalist, was born in 1959 in Sydney, Australia. He learned to play guitar at the age of 4. During the 1970s, when he was 16 and 17, he guest supported bands AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Angels City and Midnight Oil with rock bands The Class and Siren in Sydney. At 18 he joined the progressive Corroboree that had drummer Craig Collinge (ex Manfred Mann) and keyboardist Cezary Skubiszewski (ex Alexis Korner, film composer "Two Hands"). In 1980 Gerry Joe Weise took a big step forward and moved to Europe, living in France, Germany and Switzerland until 1999, before moving back to Australia. He has released the albums : 1994 "Live In Paris", 1996 "A Letter To Jimi", 1999 "Bushman Boogie", 2005 "Sydney-Paris Blues". In 2000 he wrote two songs for Nabarlek (Indigenous Live Band Of The Year Award 2005), for their 2nd album "Bininj Manborlh". His "Long Train Blues" was voted Song Of The Month December 2007 at Songweavers NYC. Throughout his many tours he has jammed with B.B.King, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Noel Redding and Eric Clapton. His trios have had musicians from Mick Taylor, Roy Buchanan, Savoy Brown, Tower Of Power, Ravi Shankar, Otis Grand and Big Ed Sullivan. Gerry Joe Weise has guest supported Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, B.B.King, The Scorpions, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Pat Metheny, Eric Clapton, The Yardbirds, Noel Redding, Luther Allison, John Lee Hooker, Canned Heat, Albert Collins, Joe Louis Walker, Dave Hole, John McLaughlin, Bob Brozman, Matt 'Guitar' Murhpy, Nine Below Zero, Deborah Coleman, Van Wilks, Mark Hummel, Maurice McKinnies, Jerry McCain, Billy Branch, Luther 'Houserocker' Johnson, Eddie & The Hot Rods, the Chicago Blues Festival tour and the San Francisco Blues Festival tour in Europe.
